Description
This 40 hour training program is the entry level program for learning how to teach a basic aquatic fitness class. Whether you are new to the water, a lifeguard or just want to become an aquatic fitness Instructor – this is the program you should begin with and this will give you valuable pool time with amazing practical experience. This foundation program will provide you with a complete overview of how to facilitate a safe, effective and enjoyable water exercise program. You will experience both theory (classroom) and practical (pool) applications to build a well-balanced program which includes exercises to target the cardiovascular system as well as balance the body with stretching, posture and strengthening exercises. We will explore a variety of class styles and leadership styles with the conference workshops of the second weekend. This intensive training will provide leaders with functional techniques for both shallow & deep water depths and to facilitate programs for a variety of ages, fitness and skill levels. NO experience necessary – just a love of the water and an interest in teaching water fitness. Candidates will have up to six months after the training to complete the examination process; however, we recommend that you complete the exam process via an onsite practical at the event OR zoom video session after the sessions. Theory exams are online or take home options. All exams and marking templates are in the manual to help become successful as an Certified Instructor. Our goal is to help you become a Certified Instructor to lead safe, effective and enjoyable classes. This program includes two days of exclusive training as well as our annual conference schedule that is included in your fee 2025-Aquatic Fitness & Wellness Conference-Session & Description
