This is an excellent option to update your techniques and renew your qualifications. Earn another level of Certification (when you complete the exam process) and enjoy some onsite training workshops.
Walking is the #1 functional activity that keeps people independent, and walking in the water may support and protect the less able and those new to exercise. Moving through the water with a variety of walking patterns and progressions will help everyone achieve an excellent total body workout that focuses on core, balance, strength, mobility, posture and gait training, as well as avoiding momentum and torque on the joints. You will learn over 100 different ways to walk as well as system of varying your programs so that everyone may work at a self-paced level of intensity. Candidates will review ways to provide team work, group and partner work for beginner through advanced clients in a sociable and all inclusive system. This program was designed for shallow water pool depths. Ideas may be incorporated into a lazy river, however, this program was developed for regular shallow water pools.

MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR MOVES
There are many ways to create interesting yet innovative ideas in the water. Learn how to mix and match your moves to create variations and combinations to keep your programs classes energized and effective. Movement patterns constantly need to be varied OR the clients will plateau or start talking. If you need creative ideas for multi level shallow water classes this class is for you! The goal of this sessions is to help instructors expand their exercise inventory and review 10 ways to vary every movement so your programs are never repetitive nor boring. Water fitness is the best and easiest way to stay in shape so learn how to create fun and functional movements.
WATER WALKING
Walking is the most used daily activity. Walking and gait training is essential to retaining independence. Train for effective movement, balance and good posture in the water. Keeping the program simple yet strong will challenge all comers from the recreational participant through to the athlete.
BALLS & FOAM WEIGHTS WORKOUT
Using equipment may add variety and progression to your programs. Learn how splash balls will provide hand & eye coordination and mobility work and endless enjoyment if the group learns to “play” together. Reviewing the exercise physiology associated with designing programs for buoyancy assisted and resisted training – and advanced foam weights or dumbbells are a good way to add strength to your programs.. This program will review the necessary shoulder girdle mechanics and safety considerations and you will review 15 exercises that may be appropriate for people who do want to challenge their upper body strength.
