Finning is an excellent program for competitive and recreational swimmers. It requires a good flutter kick, which is clearly taught in the video. This is a kick-butt water workout using the length of the pool to maintain and improve your cardiovascular conditioning. This program simultaneously challenges all your major muscle groups, especially the abdominals.
Finning uses training fins, flex paddles, kickboards, noodles and mitts, however if you are new to this type of workout you are welcome to use a buoyancy belt. This will make it easier to learn the movements correctly and with good alignment before working without the belt. Finning is guaranteed to challenge even the most advanced athletes!
