Here are the options for Specialty Certification with WaterART Fitness
HOW TO COMPLETE PRACTICAL ASSESSMENT FOR SPECIALTY CERTIFICATIONS LEVELS
Professionals who are currently WaterART Certified are only required to complete the theory exam prior to expiration of their current qualification. Please note that if you are NEW to WaterART OR your qualifications have lapsed, you will be required to complete both theory & practical assessment. Also, if this is your first water or land certification, you are always required to complete both parts of the examination process. Successfully completing another level of qualification will update your existing WaterART Qualification(s) for two years from passing date as well as provide you with additional qualifications and job opportunities. Candidates will be emailed updated Certification Diplomas, as well as given an online profile.
An instructor may complete Certification Exam process via either :
a) Aquatic WaterART Onsite Training Courses OR Land Fitness Certifications
b) Aquatic Home Study Programs OR Land Home Study Certification options
Everyone completes the same Certification competencies and exam process whether they learn via home study or onsite training education.
Please note that there are options to completing the exam process.
All exam fees are included in the program fee; however, you will be subject to late fees should you not submit on time. After a year, you will have to forfeit the program. We provide written report cards for both onsite and home study exams (theory & practical). Only one person may submit an exam for each paid registration or paid home study program.

How to Complete the Theory Exam Process:
All Theory Examinations are take-home, open book, applied theory. Exam answers may be emailed in PDF or .doc files OR mailed to be marked.
The exam process generally takes about 25-50 hours for comprehensive program and 15-30 hours for specialty programs.
To fast track the exam process, we recommend that you order and review your course materials prior to the course. All marking templates are in the back of each manual.
Sharing exams and materials is strictly prohibited for both liability and copyright reasons.
How to Complete the Practical Exam Process:
The practical assessments may be completed via an onsite assessment with a WaterART Master Trainer OR provide a mailed submission via DVD/VHS video/USB stick of their program as written out in the class design/case study. You may film in the program in your home or at a center. We recommend keeping your filming simple with small groups or just yourself in the program. We need to be able to see, hear and understand your exercise goals and objectives and review that your programs is safe, effective and enjoyable. There are marking guidelines in the back of each manual for your reference. We do not download video streaming files.
Any exams submitted after the 6 month period are subject to a $35.00 late fee plus applicable taxes per late exam submission or for each portion of the exam (theory or practical /case study).Please note that we do not accept exam submissions after 1 year from the initial training date.

There is an automatic confirmation on this email and we work 9-4pm Monday through Friday and not all people at head office have an exercise science background so assume that questions may take 24-48 hours to get back to you. With that said Ė try to complete your exam process sooner and donít wait until the last moment. Marking of the exam may take 1-2 weeks if exam is emailed or 2-4 weeks if exam is snail mailed.
