The step does move (due to currents in the pool) however, it greatly trains dynamic posture.
Water step (with a jumping jax movement) is researched to be one of the most challenging CV workouts - equivalent to stepping up 14 inches on land. Remember you don't have to do only cardiovascular training with a step - there are many things to train.
We recommend using mitts with the step for added balance and posture support. You will also require footwear ( to prevent stubbing of your toes)
