This home study educational option is for those candidates who have
1) Have expired their Certification(s) for more than 1 year (check your online profile or Diploma expiry date & were Certified between January 1, 2010 and now)
2) Completed the WaterART Instructor Training (either onsite or home study) since February 28, 2010 ( invoice will be on our system) but did not complete exam process to meet frame;
Candidates may also attend an onsite training re-certification workshop - if there is one available and pay a late fee if expired or do the exams they have if not completed.
This Instructor Review homestudy program provides instructor's with a basic review and more exercise inventory for both shallow and deep H2O exercise design.Additioanlly, we have created tutorials to help you understand the theory of exercise design.
Candidates review the video tutorials and DVDs then complete BOTH theory and practical examination process (as per our industry standards). Once candidates have successfully completed both exam components, their qualifications will be renewed for 2 years from their exam passing date.
Class design will provide new instructors with a template for teaching
This enhanced program comes with four video
tutorials (guided power point presentation by a Master
Trainer). This will help candidates to learn how to design a successful
program. WaterART highly recommends this foundation program (or Shallow H20 Instructor Certification if only teaching shallow depth) prior
to any other home study course. This is especially valuable for instructors who have never had an exercise science background.

HOW TO COMPLETE EXAM PROCESS
Candidates will have 6 months from purchase date to complete exams.
After 6 months candidates will berequired to pay a $35.00 late fee for each exam they submit in late.
Exams will not be accepted after 1 year from purchase date.
THEORY EXAM (you do not have to rewrite the questions, simply mark which quiz you are completing and write the answers out)

Candidates may complete their practical exam by either
Submit a home video (DVD or USB stick of your 45-60 minute program or as written out as part of the theory exam. The examiner will follow the lesson plan along with your theory submission. There is a marking template in the manual. The theory exam is in the manual and should be done on your own. Should you need help please email us for assistance.
Have an onsite assessment with a Certified WaterART Master Trainer. In this scenario, the personbeing assessed has to make it convenient for the assessor (i.e. probably go totheir location). Each onsite assessment takes approximately 30 minutes.Note, that it is not necessary for the Master Trainer to attend your entire class or program. When completing your practical component via onsite assessment, you will have to complete the competencies successfully, as described below. Click here for our list of Master Trainers.
The Onsite practical assessment will include:
Answering a couple of oral saftey questions as well as teach specific to general group exercise or apparently healthy populations.
Teaching a 5-10 minute warm up specific to safety guidelines to general group exercise or apparently healthy populations.
Teaching a 3-5 minute Cardio set specific to safety and efficacy guidelines specific to general group exercise or apparently healthy populations.
Teaching two 3-5 minute Muscular Strength sets (be sure to perform enough sets & reps or 3-5 sets of 8-25 repetitions) to general group exercise or apparently healthy populations.
Teaching a 5-10 minute Warm Down specific to safety and efficacy guidelines.
Marking Sheets and detailed outline competencies are in the Manual; basically you are evaluated based on the following:
1) Do you understand the exercise objective?The difference between CV and muscular strength and muscular flexibility.
2) Can we see, hear and understand you? Please be sure to face your group when you teach and add positive, specific and corrective feedback.
3) Is the exercise safe, effective and enjoyable? Are you able to modify or progress the exercises to make this appropriate for your clientelle.
