1) To have completed 2 levels of WaterART Certification or equivalent

2) working as an Allied Health Care Provider ( Registered Kin, Registered PT, RT, OT, AT or  PTA,) Only Registered Allied Health Care Providers may utilize the title Therapist.

This Aquatic Post Rehabilitation for General Populations program is designed to give a comprehensive overview of exercises suitable for a  general population recovering from injury,  replacement surgery, andother debilitating conditions that prevent them from enjoying full mobility with daily living. In other words, this program is for less fit population as compare to the aquatic rehabilitation Athletic program.

The learning objective is to understand anatomy, safe joint range, muscle action and overall fitness levels requirements to be ableto design and oversee safe exercise programs that will help each person return, as close as possible, to their previous levels of mobility.

Exercises  for initial mobility for recovery will be shown for regions of focus  such as: the Cervical, Thoracic and Lumbar areas of the spine, and the shoulder, hip , knee and ankle joint areas. These exercises will provide  the Instructor with a generic base of safe, adaptable movement to allow development of programs suitable to each client's personal needs. Programming people with a chronic condition may never advance beyond a certain stage “ however this does not mean they have not improved their quality of life. We will learn to work  on the ability not disability.

Pre-Requisite for this program: The program is available via onsite training and/or home study training. You will require an advanced understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, and exercise design so experience in the aquatic fitness industry is important.
