Description
This certification course combines the knowledge of two fitness worlds, Land and Water Fitness. Aqua Fitness Instructors will learn how to adapt their fitness programs to land training and understand the mechanics of movement for both land and water. Candidates will be ready to lead and plan a safe, effective and enjoyable program in all environments including: water, land and virtually. Upon completion of this 16 hour Virtual Training workshop, currently Certified WaterART Instructors will be automatically updated for two years from existing certification expiration date. Additionally, candidates will then have up to six months to complete their land Certification exams. At that time, successful Instructors will receive another update for 2 years on all their existing WaterART qualifications as well as a new career option.
This land functional training workshop will review a contemporary approach to movement on land and how to balance cardiovascular fitness with muscular strength, flexibility and core stability. Additionally, Instructors will learn how to incorporate the mindful moves of Yoga, stretching and relaxation into a land group fitness class.
Several Master Trainers will teach a variety of classes and the App has many more sessions to follow along and learn how to build purposeful programs using variety of equipment including step training, fit ball, fit bands, tubing with handles and other aging well sessions. Expand your career horizons as a land, water and virtual fitness professional.
Candidates will also take June 5, 2021 water training session to brush up their skills to help our aging populations come back to the pool – post covid.

Course Registration Fee Includes:
- 16 hours of instruction guided by a variety of Certified Master Trainers (Friday & Saturday June 4 & 5, 2021)
- Sessions will be facilitated via Zoom and Vimeo Video streaming (we email you the links to access the program the day before the event).
- Certification candidates must have video camera on and mic working for zoom session.

Get Comfortable and have ready to work with in your own home

(if you have one to toss as well as Fit Ball to sit on) - Get your Lunch or snack(s) ready -we will break about 30 minutes at 12:30 pm (approximately)
- Wear comfortable clothing in which to move around

- Pen and paper to write your own notes and prepare lesson plans
