Learn to incorporate safe, effective and multi-level programming for common medical conditions for an aging population. Review exercise inventory to help learn a complete group exercise program to help improve muscular balance and function. We recommend learning a balanced program design so that all components of fitness are trained. Review safety guidelines for helping your clients/patrons with common joint issues such as hip, knee, shoulder, back, neck problems, neuromuscular conditions, as well as cardiopulmonary, obesity, hypertension, diabetes and other debilitating medical conditions. This workshop is key to helping the instructor to learn how to modify the exercise for safety, efficacy and senior fitness. This workshop is the second part of senior fitness. The goal is to teach multi-level fitness programs that everyone may work at their self paced personal best intensity and impact level.

This workshop will provide instructors with a general review of designing both shallow and deep water classes. You will learn basic moves and techniques to adjust intensity and impact to cleverly train cardiovascular fitness and muscular fitness. The goal is to provide a balanced total body program that is safe, effective and enjoyable. The Instructor will review how to command a class with both visual and verbal teaching cues.

This program is the entry level program for learning how to teach a basic aquafit class or program. Whether you are new to the water, a lifeguard or just want to become an aquatic fitness Instructor or personal trainer - this is the program you would begin with. We will explore a variety of movements, techniques and basic body and working positions for both shallow & deep water depths. This intensive training will provide leaders with functional techniques to design safe and effective sessions for a variety of ages, skills and fitness levels. This foundation program will provide you with a complete overview of how to facilitate a safe, effective and enjoyable general group exercise program. You will experience both theory (classroom) and practical (pool) applications to build a well-balanced program which includes cardiovascular training strength and mobility training as well as other functional components of fitness. NO experience necessary just a love of the water and fitness.

Certification E-Diploma & Online profile when successful with examination process.
Examination & Certification Process: You will have up to FOUR MONTHS
from your training date to complete both your theory and practical
examinations. The theory exam is a take-home, open book exam. You email
us your exam answers or mail the exam in to be marked. Sharing exam
answers is strictly prohibited. The practical exam may be completed
either via an onsite assessment or DVD/video submission. You may decide
on the day of the course how you would like to complete the training. If
you think that you may want to complete your practical onsite, we
highly recommend that you order and review your course materials in

This is an excellent option to update your techniques and renew your qualifications. There are no exams and you review the other workshop topics as part of your re-qualification hours. Attending these programs each candidate will achieve 16.0 hours of continuing education hours as well as an automatic WaterART Certification renewal for two years from the existing expiration date. We invite you to bring any questions or program ideas that you need clarification on as we may easily fit this into the schedule. Candidates may simply attend for CEC hours and advanced learning without exams should you not be Certified with WaterART.
