This is an excellent way to help your patrons stop talking and keep them moving with fun and function! Realize that there are infinite ways to plan a program and providing variety and creativity to your plan will help to keep everyone enjoying and benefitting with Water Exercise.

Senior "Fun"ctional Fitness: Priorities for the senior's in the 21st Century are keeping healthy, staying active and remaining independent. Water exercise can be the answer to all three. Use the three-dimensional resistive, buoyant and invigorating properties of water to create an enjoyable program to motivate clients and keep them coming back for more. Start with simple exercises then progress movement to aid with improved function for daily activities, social events and family outings. Learn to incorporate suitable equipment at the appropriate time. Best of all - put the FUN back into function!

Muscle-Up Deep H2O: Working out in deep water is more challenging than in shallow water because, in deep, the body's center of balance is at the chest whereas, in shallow water, the balance is at the feet that are more easily anchored down to the pool floor. In order to effectively work in deep water, each person must learn and maintain good balance skills to anchor the core muscles against buoyancy.

Creative CV Combos for Shallow H2O Classes: If you need creative ideas for multi-level shallow water classes, this class is for you! Learn how to create and develop combinations to keep your classes energized. Make the movements flow with changes of direction, speed and intensity levels. Learn how to mix and match working positions with basic movement to create variations and combinations without the complication of choreography.

Programming for People with Arthritis & Mobility: Learn to modify and progress exercises, and to vary impact and intensity to meet the multi-level needs. There are more than 100 diseases in the arthritis category and it is widely accepted that most of the symptoms may be greatly benefited through water exercise. Learn how to provide multi level programming to help each participant train at an appropriate intensity level for self paced exercise - appropriate for types of arthritis. This program will also introduce the use of flotation and resistive devices such as noodles and resistive paddles for improved performance. Water Walking and Tai Chi movements will be incorporated to train mobility, gait and balance

Deep H2O Core, Posture & Muscle Training: Discover how to target all of the major muscle groups in deep water. Review the body positions to aid each individual to achieve optimal posture, muscle balance, and performance. Optimize visual and verbal communication techniques to help you to coach and motivate safely from the deck.

Programming for Common Medical Conditions: Review general guidelines for helping your clients/patrons with orthopaedic (hip, knee, shoulder, back, neck ), neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, arthritis, obesity, hypertension, diabetes and other debilitating medical conditions. Review safety tips on how to modify orprogress an exercise to provide patrons with safe and effective programming.

Aquatic Running & Walking Intervals: Walking is the number one functional activity that keeps people moving and independent on land, and we can do this in the water! This program will additionally improve balance, posture, core stability and attitude. This program will demonstrate new ideas to combine with active stretching and strengthening exercises to make for an enjoyable and effective program.

Add Some Synchrofit to Your Class: Combine the grace and precision of synchronized swimming with the aerobic benefits of water exercise. This is a great way to tighten your abdominals, define your legs and improve your posture and form. Experience the excitement and fun of this unique yet challenging non-stop workout.

Assessing Your Leadership Skills: An aquatic fitness Instructor must learn the theoretical use of water, but, more importantly, they must know how to teach programs successfully to the people who pay to come to their class. We will review a evaluation system for managing and developing a safe, effective and enjoyable program. Learn how to document your strengths and weaknesses so that you may become the best Instructor possible. This is an excellent tool for directors needing to implement performance evaluations as well as new Instructors.

Yoga & Vertical Pilates Progressions: Enjoy a combination of yoga and pilates. Discover ways to blend mind body techniques into your present program or to develop a stand-alone program. Learn techniques to increase your breathing, flexibility, core stability, coordination, muscular endurance and enhance your posture all using the healing properties of water.

Deep H2O Noodle Cycling: On land cycling classes have brought new participants into group exercise programs. Learn how to develop a water cycling class for deep-water programs using noodles or a buoyancy belt. Use your mind to train your body; use your heart to monitor your intensity. Adventure into the rhythmic movement of cycling and experience how a class will flow with the power of water

Keeping Your Program Fresh: In this classroom workshop, you will visit how to infuse your classes with different ideas, not only to keep the participants engaged, but to stimulate and organize your own schedules as well. Topics covered will be, Planning Your Month, Adding Visual Interest and Organizing Your Playlist. Participants will be encouraged to share their favourite classes and themes in order to give each of you a bank of fresh ideas that will hopefully infuse some renewed energy into your programs.
