With 26 years of Sports Rehabilitation in the Field of Athletic Training and 20 years of teaching both secondary and adult education Anita brings a unique perspective and cultural dynamic to the WaterART educational instructional certification program. Throughout the years, she has dedicated her career to encouraging, advising and enriching the lives of everyone she touches.
She currently works for the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati teaching Aquatic Fitness, Rehabilitation and Aquatic Personal Training, and at The Jewish Community Center and Mercy Health Plex Fairfield as a Water Fitness Instructor and Aquatic Personal Trainer.
Anita earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Xavier University in 1994 in Biology, Athletic Training and Secondary Education. While working as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Creighton University, Nebraska; she earned her Master’s Degree in Health Education (1996). After completing graduate school, she moved back to her home state of Florida to teach.
Anita is dedicated to creating, designing and cultivating lessons which offer “hands-on” learning through a practice-skill approach. She resides in Cincinnati where she provides Aquatic Rehabilitation, Aquatic Personal Training, CPR/BLS & First Aid Certifications. She is a certified WaterART Master Trainer.
