Sandee Watson began her Aquatic Fitness career in 1994 when her supervisor told her to “jump in, you're teaching a water aerobics class today”. Since that first class, Sandee became a certified instructor in 1995 with A.F.L.C.A. and in 2006 with WaterART. She has since earned Gold status with certification in Instructor, Senior and special populations, Common Motor Disorders, Rehabilitation, and Arthritis.
She holds a degree in Outdoor Recreation from Lakehead University, is a former lifeguard and swimming instructor. Sandee now focuses on aquatic fitness with her passion being in Aquatic Rehabilitation. In 2007, she established T.A.P. (Tailored Aquatic Program) for the City of Grande Prairie Alberta. This program provides one on one sessions for individuals with limited mobility, recovering from injury; pre/post-surgery and those unable to participate in main stream classes. She also mentors new instructors and instructs “50 and Better”, water walking, finning, and deep and shallow classes.
